Project SOAR

During summer 2008, the continued goal of CEUT’s Project SOAR was to increase, by 90%, the basic reading skills of 40 K-3 learners who live and attend school in urban communities. Project SOAR served 40 K-3 students who were identified as needing supplementary reading coaching and who are ethnically, linguistically and economically diverse. Project Soar was extremely successful in reaching all program goals due to a strong partnership between Hamline University’s Center for Excellence in Urban Teaching and Ames Elementary School; St. Paul MN.
